Berri Golf Course is the perfect place to test your golfing skills and refine your short game. The par three first hole offers an impressive view, with its elevated tee surrounded by roses and native shrubs located atop a slight rise. Fairways and greens are well irrigated, making for a smooth playing experience. The signature par four eighth hole challenges even the best players – so take your time and enjoy this picturesque course! With forgiving fairways its great for novices too, so why not bring along a group of friends? Enjoy some fresh air in spectacular surrounds – Berri Golf Course provides something for everyone! .
The surfaces of the greens are excellent due to mixture of Bent, Cobra and Pennlink grasses and the fairways are mostly Santa Anna and Kikuyu that thrive in the SA Riverland and other golf courses dotted along the Murray River.
An easy walking layout makes for a very enjoyable game with small hills, bumps and bunkers breaking the picturesque landscape. Established flowering gums, natives and Mallee trees line all fairways from the 1st to the 18th.
At the final hole you’ll find a two-tiered tee adjacent to the superb on-course accommodation. Here you’ll play under the watchful eye of guests staying on-course and those enjoying the Tavern.
The course itself boasts some of the best greens around, with a mixture of Bent, Cobra and Pennlink grasses providing an excellent playing surface. Fairways throughout the course are mostly Santa Anna and Kikuyu – both thriving grass varieties that have provided consistent performance for golfers in the South Australian Riverland and other courses along the Murray River.
The layout offers easy walking for players of all levels, with small hills, subtle bumps and strategically placed bunkers offering challenges throughout the round. And when you look up from your game, you’ll be greeted with stunning views of flowering gums, native shrubs and Mallee trees that line every fairway from start to finish.
